Saint George Summer Solstice Salon

Join me and Michelle Adams in the charming upstairs private dining room at Saint George Bistro for a botanical workshop to celebrate the blooms of Spring and Summer.

You'll be welcomed with a glass of French rosé and a cheese board from Saint George. Then we'll head into a natural dye tutorial from Michelle. Using last season's dried flowers, traditional dye plants, and fresh flowers from Michelle's garden, you will create your own natural bundle dye. Versatile organic cotton bandanas will be provided--great as a neck or headscarf, headband, or table linen for your home.

As the flowers meld with the fabric, we'll move onto a cooking project. You will learn how to make a fresh pasta pressed with edible flowers and herbs, and we'll brighten things up with a seasonal farmer's market salad.

We'll finish the meal with dessert from Saint George, and then send you off with recipes and dye projects from the class.

Tickets are $175 - includes wine, cheese, and dessert from Saint George, and all materials/instruction for the cooking and dye classes (also covers gratuity for restaurant staff and sales tax).

Stuff to note: advance registration required, limited seats available, no refunds. Ingredients may include cured meat, nuts, gluten, eggs, and dairy. You will be provided with one bandana per ticket, additional items will be for sale if you would like to make additional pieces. We are not able to dye items that you bring from home as natural dye requires specific materials and preparation prior to the actual dye process.
